NOVEMBER 1960 

Eighteen people meet to discuss forming the Houston Council of Safety Supervisors. 

JANUARY 1961 

Thirty-two people met and started the Houston Council of Safety Supervisors, later to become the Houston Chapter - Texas Council of Safety Professionals.

APRIL 1994 

Thirty-one members voted unanimously to change the name to the Houston Council of Safety Professionals.
